The Second Amendment

A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right

 of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

This amendment is one of the most heavily debated of recent political times. It grants Americans the constitutional
 right to bear a firearm. However, it is highly controversial if the framers intended it to mean that all Americans have
 the right to bear firearms or if only militias have the right to bear firearms.

This article puts into context the negative aspects of the Second Amendment. It provides an anti second amendment viewpoint and 
suggests multiple solutions to the problems the amendment causes, such as school shootings. The article successfully demonstrates 
the issues and debates around this amendment.
This video explains the history and context in which the Second Amendment was ratified into the Constitution. It portrays the 
protections and ideas about the right to bear arms and how they have evolved over time in response to how our country has also
 debatably evolved past the need for the Second Amendment.

The Sixteenth Amendment

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from  whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States,  and without regard to any census or enumeration. The Sixteenth Amendment gave Congress the right to collect income tax. This amendment is still significant  today as a century later Congress still collects income tax from workers. This amendment also reversed the  decision of Pollock v.
